Sale-a-Bration with Stampin' Up! is here again…..

Hello everyone and yes it's that time of the year when we get to celebrate all things Stampin' Up! with a  new Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-Bration.

Today I have for you a card I made in a hurry for my son's friend to celebrate his birthday.  I wanted to get into the new products from our new catalogues and here is what I came up with.

I asked my son (who is 8) if he liked it.   I was particularly worried about the glitter and sequins for a boy but Christopher loved it and said his friend would too.

This was a quick and easy card.  I've used the new "Big Day" stamp set which you can earn free during Sale-a-Bration when you purchase product to the value of $90(AUD).  I heat embossed it using Silver embossing powder on Black Cardstock, made it into a banner and presto.

I also cut out 2 arrows from red glitter paper using our arrow punch and stamped some Bermuda Bay splatters on the background with our Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set.  Finished the card off with our new Bermuda Bay Sequins that added that final bit of bling.

Bloom with Hope

I would have to say this is probably my favourite Hostess Set from Stampin' Up!  Bloom with Hope.  I love colouring images and this set gives you the ability to play with our Aqua Pen, Blender Pen, Stampin' Write Markers and now our new Blendabilities.  Here are the cards we made on Friday night at my class.

For this card I used an Aqua Pen to colour the flowers with Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake for the Hardwood image and Mossy Meadow for the stems.  I stamped the image on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock and then cut them out to give a bit of dimension.

For this card I used Blackberry Bliss to stamp the flower image and then I coloured the centres with the Hello Honey Stampin' Write Marker.  I also used the new Satin Stitched In-colour ribbon which I love. A simple layout but quite effective.

I also used the ribbon punch to add a little scalloped trim to the top.  I didn't want it to stand out too much so used the Blackberry Bliss.

For this card I used a Blender Pen with Real Red to colour in this magnificent flower.  Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set added a splash of Hello Honey (stamped off) to the background and a few rhinestones to add some bling.  White Bakers Twine wrapped around adds a little bit more dimension.

Again I cut the flower out and mounted it on dimensionals.  I enjoyed making this one.  Lots of colour.

CARDS WITH FRAMES

Hi everyone.  I have finally got back into the swing of things and today I have for you the cards I made for my recent "Frames Class".  There are a few different ways we can make frames these days and especially with the new "On Film"  Framelits Dies $49.95 (aus)  in the Occasions Catalogue.

My favourite was this one using the "Perfect Pennants" stamp set, gold sequins, Gold Baker's Twine,  the Bitty Banner Punch from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue (free when you spend $90 or more) and the "On Film Framelits Dies".  The DSP is from the In-Colour Paper Stack and I used Strawberry Slush.

This next card also uses the "On Film" framelits dies and the special Valentines Stamp Set promoted earlier in the year.  I've never had an Eiffel  Tower but now I do.  Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set along with some Washi Tape and the  New Silver Baker's Twine.

I love this colour combination, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate with a  bit of Silver thrown in the mix.  Again I used Gorgeous Grunge and Flower Shop Stamp Sets and the Rectangular Embossing Frame

The last of the set was this gorgeous Shaker Frame Card made using the Chalk Talk Bundle and the Shaker Frame Sticky Mounts.  I thought it was about time I bought these little gems and give them a go.

You will also need a window sheet and some chunky silver glitter to complete the shaker frame.  I cut out the leaves using the Silver Foil Card with the leaves from the Bird Punch.

A Cheery Get Well

One of my friends has been in hospital recently.  This is my first Get Well card and I was pretty chuffed at how this turned out.  It is not my own design.  I did find something very similar on Pinterest.  I just loved the rainbow colours and it was a bit different to what I normally do.

I used a few different punches here.  The four petal flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes pack and the Boho Blossom Punch.   Layering some of the flowers is the key to making this look really good.  Lots of glueing and very fiddly but worth the effort I think.  To make the flowers curve up I put them on a bit of hard foam and used the end of my Piercing tool to rub the centre of each flower.  This helps the petals to curl up and look more lifelike.

Ok, the colours I used are in order from left to right - So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Raspberry Ripple, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist and Pool Party.  The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen and fits in so well in that little space.  Can you see the specks of Blue made with the Gorgeous Grunge splatters again LOL.  The base card is  Crumb Cake then a layer of Night of Navy then the good old Whisper White.

Inside I stamped some stripes of colour to match the flowers on the front working from left to right and overlapping the colours as I went.

 I used the stripes stamp from (you guessed it) Gorgeous Grunge and I loved how they turned out.  Not too thick but thick enough to give the rainbow colour effect.

A very Cheery Card.

Father's Day Tape It

Woah!  Where have I been.  Can't believe my last post was July.  So sorry to anyone who's been waiting for a new one from me.   Father's Day is fast approaching and I have been making a few things ready for the occasion.  

First up I have this one made with Washi Tape (again LOL) and a few new goodies from the Annual Catalogue.

I have here the Epic Day Washi Tape (love the orange one), the Father's Day sentiment from Delightful Dozen Stamp Set, Chalk Talk Framelits and the Off the Grid Stamp which is a small background stamp and I absolutely love it.  So versatile and fills in lots of blank spaces.  This card took me no more than 10 mintues to put together.  Simple.  I added a bit of Bakers Twine and some silver glitter paper to finish it off.  The splatters are from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set (another favourite).....

The next card I made using a new Stamp Set called Tape It.  Shannon West showed us some WOW projects at Convention using this set and then it was up for grabs as a Prize Patrol.  I so wanted this set and was lucky enough to win it WooHooo.  It is very easy to use and looks so real it isn't funny.
It looks like washi tape and what makes it great is you can pick from all our wonderful colours to stamp with.    Again I used Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set to fill in the white spaces.  Love It.
